Experimental investigation of self-cleaning behaviour of 3D-printed textile fabrics with various printing parameters

Self-cleaning of textile fabrics is defined as the ability that pollutants particles can be removed from fabric surface without any external source. The application technology beneficial to environment since it conserves water, energy and laundry costs. In past, typically obtained by chemical coatings, which develop low high roughness on surface, allowing pollutant or droplets float over rather than adhesion. These coating methods are effective for manufactured traditional woven-based technology. However, recent advancements in 3D printing have evolved manufacturing but with equal challenges self-cleaning previous coating-based not useful printed fabrics. A study has successfully established a linear regression model demonstrate relationship between secondary parameters properties different polymeric This paper intended analyse impact primary attributes, including infill rate (IR), flow (FR), temperature (PT), speed (PS), acceleration (PA). experimental results were used construct polynomial quantify behaviour selected thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) fabric. models validated experimentally highlight critical values considered optimal behaviour. indicated FR was most significant parameter, all affected fabric's wettability almost equally.
